Shenandoah National Park is home to over 200,000 acres of protected wilderness, offering breathtaking views along the famous Skyline Drive, a scenic highway that runs for 105 miles through the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park boasts over 500 miles of hiking trails, including a portion of the Appalachian Trail. With its rich biodiversity, visitors can spot black bears, deer, and more than 190 species of birds. One of the park’s unique features is its high concentration of waterfalls, with some, like Overall Run Falls, reaching heights of 93 feet, making it the tallest waterfall in the park.
